A New Year, A New Blog
As I look back on 2017, and reflect on the incredible year my family has had, I can’t help but think that it went all too fast. My husband began a new career in a completely new field. My toddler tackled her second year at preschool, continued all of her activities, and further developed into the energetic, kind, smart girl she is today. My baby grew from a newborn, sleeping 23.5 hours of the day to a cruising, babbling, curious little boy. It seems like all I did was blink and those moments flew past me; and here I am at the end of the year wondering ‘where the time went and how do I get it back?’
So, this year I decided to start a blog - something I have always wanted to do but never had the time or courage to actually try. This blog is simply meant to document my kids’ lives. To make the memories last. To provide me with a journal to look back on in the future so that the moments don’t seem as fleeting. To allow me to see the change in my kids, their progression, and to give me hope that they are becoming civilized human beings even when it feels like we are in a ‘2 steps back’ phase. I don’t aspire to gain readership or make money. I have no dreams of having a carer as a blogger. If, however, you are reading and you do choose to follow along I hope to entertain and bring a little humour into what can seem like a mundane life. I will utilize my education and experience as a teacher to showcase some of the activities and projects I am undertaking with my kids that further their own personal growth. I will lament and vent and provide tips and tricks that I have picked up on my journey that have helped me to tackle some of the hardships that inevitably come along with parenthood.
Welcome to my blog… I hope you stay for while!
